Billionaire Kochs to Financially Back Democrats Pushing Amnesty, Free Trade

by John Nolte

The pro-mass immigration Koch brothers’ network of billionaire, donor-class organizations is readying to financially back Democrats, so long as they promise to support amnesty for illegal aliens and vote to advance free trade at all costs.

In a memo to its staff, the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity (AFP) organization announced that the economic libertarian group is set to back any elected official in Washington, DC, — including Democrats — who support their agenda of amnesty for illegal aliens and endless free trade, and oppose the GOP voter-preferred economic nationalist agenda of less immigration and tariffs to protect American jobs.

The memo read:

The threat of being primaried prevents policymakers from leading on difficult issues and driving principled policy reforms. AFP or AFP Action will be ready to engage contested U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and state-level primary races, including Republican, Democrat, Independent or otherwise, to support sitting legislators who lead by uniting with others to pass principled policy and get good things done. [Emphasis added]

The Koch effort to financially support pro-amnesty, anti-economic nationalist Democrats would come to fruition through the creation of multiple issue-specific Political Action Committees (PACs), all under the larger Koch network umbrella. Read the rest HERE.

The Media Just Can’t Stop Lying About Trump

June 28, 2018
By John Lott Jr • The Hill

President Trump’s half hour, impromptu interview on “Fox & Friends” last Friday sent the media’s fact checkers into overdrive this weekend. Everyone from PolitiFact to The New York Times to virtually all the Sunday morning national talk shows piled on, calling Trump a liar.

But the media can’t stop lying about what the president says. Sometimes it can’t distinguish a legitimate point of disagreement from a lie. It is no wonder that people have tuned out much of the constant attacks on Trump.

Just take the hyperbole on Sunday’s Meet the Press. Before playing a compilation of clips from Trump’s interview, moderator Chuck Todd exclaimed: “Let me put together this list of just outright misstatements, lies.” After showing the clips, Todd felt it necessary to emphasize yet again that everyone knew the statements were false: “Every single one of those things is absolutely not true.”

The show had on two liberal and two conservative panelists, but it wasn’t real balance as the conservatives were both “never Trumpers.” The guests debated whether Trump was simply lying or whether he lacked the “mental capacity” to know that he was spewing falsehoods.

So let’s review the first three statements that Todd claims are false. Then we’ll look at the one that he says is the “most ridiculous” of all. Read more HERE.

DeSantis Rising: Florida Congressman Now the Sunshine State GOP Gubernatorial Frontrunner

by Jeff Poor

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – With just over a month to go until Florida Republicans vote to select their nominee for the governor’s race, Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) is pulling ahead of Florida Agriculture Commissioner Adam Putnam, according to recent polling data.

Past polling showed DeSantis trailing Putnam by a wide margin. One poll from June 21, conucted by Fox News, had DeSantis down by 15 points.

This month’s polling, however, shows the trend is decidedly in DeSantis’ favor. A survey from Remington Research conducted July 2-5 has DeSantis up 17 points. Another survey conducted by pollster Tony Fabrizio has DeSantis up 12 points.

According to the Real Clear Politics polling average, which includes the Fox News poll showing Putnam with a double-digit lead, DeSantis has a 2.7 percent edge over Putnam as it stands now.

At a campaign meet-and-greet–with a visibly pro-Donald Trump vibe–just south of downtown Jacksonville on Saturday morning, DeSantis offered Breitbart News his reasons for the surge.

“I think it’s a number of things,” he said. “I think it’s a strong contrast between me and my opponent. Adam Putnam is a career politician. He’s been in office since he was 22, and he’s been an insider transactional Republican. I’m somebody who is an Iraq veteran, a military officer – somebody who has really fought entrenched interests and has stood on principle. Those records are clear.”

“He was somebody that was very hostile to Trump down the stretch against Hillary Clinton, and if he had his way, Hillary would have won,” DeSantis added. “I’m somebody that’s been endorsed by the president, so it’s a big contrast.”

Trump has voiced his support for DeSantis on two occasions and going back as far as last December. Read the rest of this article HERE.
