A number of House Republicans are petitioning President Trump to quickly sign an executive order that adds the American citizenship question to the 2020 Census.

Trump’s Commerce Department first announced last year that the American citizenship question — i.e., all U.S. residents are asked whether or not they are a U.S. citizen — would be put back on the Census form for 2020. Since 1950, the citizenship question has not been asked on the full Census, leaving the nation without an exact estimate of how many citizens and noncitizens are in the country.

Most recently, the U.S. Supreme Court voted five-four to block the addition of the citizenship question on the upcoming Census, though reports have circulated that Trump is planning to sign an executive order to ensure that the question is put on the 2020 Census forms.

In a letter to Attorney General William Barr on Wednesday, 19 House Republicans asked that Trump sign an executive order as soon as possible that would place the citizenship question on the 2020 Census, noting its importance in knowing the impact of the country’s mass illegal and legal immigration system.

The letter states:

We are writing today to encourage you to work with President Trump to support the issuance of a memorandum or executive order appropriate under our Constitution and laws to clearly outline the President’s rationale for including a citizenship question on the census. Inclusion of such a citizenship question is clearly constitutional and lawful, and as members of Congress we can say unequivocally that we support inclusion of such a question and that it is critical that the President do so as quickly as possible as we prepare for the coming census. [Emphasis added] From our vantage point in Congress, there are numerous important reasons to include the question on the census, of which the President clearly is aware. Those reasons range from determining appropriations levels for states and localities and having data for states to make decisions on ballot box placement, to collection of data for purposes of understanding the impact of immigration (legal and illegal) on communities, as well as obviously impacting apportionment and re-districting. [Emphasis added] Despite claims to the contrary, citizenship is unquestionably germane to carrying out our duty to apportion representatives. Setting aside the fact it remains an unsettled question as to whether states can, in fact, use citizenship data in redistricting, the 14th Amendment demands that we take into account citizenship in allocation of representation. Under section 2 of the 14th Amendment – and as further amended by the 19th and 26th Amendments – in order that we be able to enforce the penalty put in place by the Amendment’s authors and ratifiers for any interference with the right to vote, the administration arguably is required to capture the citizenship information. [Emphasis added]

Those who petitioned Trump to immediately sign an executive order to include the citizenship question on the Census include:

  • Chip Roy (R-TX)
  • Mo Brooks (R-AL)
  • Jody Hice (R-GA)
  • Bill Posey (R-FL)
  • Paul Gosar (R-AZ)
  • Jeff Duncan (R-SC)
  • Jim Jordan (R-OH)
  • Ted Yoho (R-FL)
  • Ralph Norman (R-SC)
  • Andy Biggs (R-AZ)

Ken Cuccinelli: ICE Ready to Deport Approx. 1M Illegal Aliens with Final Deportation Orders

Acting United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) Director Ken Cuccinelli says the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency is ready to deport about a million illegal aliens who remain in the country despite having final orders for deportation.

During an interview with CBS News on Sunday, Cuccinelli said despite a delay of mass deportations by President Trump two weeks ago, ICE agents are ready to detain and deport the roughly one million illegal aliens who have been ordered deported from the country.

Cuccinelli said:

[ICE agents are] ready to just perform their mission which is to go and find and detain and then deport the approximately one million people who have final removal orders. They’ve been all the way through the due process and have final removal orders. Who among those will be targeted for this particular effort or not is really just information kept within ICE. [Emphasis added]

Cuccinelli said mass deportations by ICE of illegal aliens with final deportation orders “should be going on on a rolling basis” and blamed “the politics of Washington” for interfering with ICE operations. Read the rest HERE.

2020: Dems Debate in Miami

We’re going to need a little bit of humor and sarcasm to get us through this – Alan Berkelhammer

The 2020 presidential blbate season kicks off on Wednesday evening in Miami, Florida, as ten Democrats will take the stage with many needing the debates to stay relevant. To qualify for the first round of debates, Democrats needed to get 1% support in three sanctioned polls or get 65,000 unique donors.

Lester Holt, Chuck Todd, Savannah Guthrie, Jose Diaz Balart, and Rachel Maddow will be the moderators for the NBC debate, and Breitbart News’ Joel Pollak is on the ground at the debate site.

The first round of debates will be like training camp in sports—they will matter most to Democrats who must avoid being cut while frontrunners will only have to avoid season-ending injuries. To qualify for the next round of debates, Democrats will need to get 2% support in three sanctioned polls and get 130,000 unique donors.

On Wednesday, Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), former Rep. Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke (D-TX), former San Antonio Mayor and Housing and Urban Development Secretary Julian Castro, Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ), Sen. Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), Washington Governor Jay Inslee, Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH), Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI), New York Mayor Bill de Blasio, and former Rep. Google Censors Video Exposing Google

Jen Jennai – Project Veritas screenshot

Google-owned video platform YouTube took down a video from Project Veritas showing a senior employee at the company appearing to admit that the company plans to interfere in the next presidential election to stop Donald Trump.

The video, which is still available on the Project Veritas website featured undercover footage of a top Google employee, Jen Gennai, stating that the company shouldn’t be broken up because only they can prevent the “next Trump situation.”

Via the video:

Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that.

This corroborates other leaks from Google. Earlier this year, former Google software engineer Mike Wacker published emails appearing to show that a manager at the tech giant told one of their subordinates that the company had to stop “fake news” and “hate speech” because “that’s how Trump won.”

James O’Keefe urged viewers to download the video and repost it to ensure it could not easily be censored. Read the rest HERE.

Breitbart Exclusive — Burgess Owens on Reparations: ‘Every Bad Thing That’s Happened to My Race Over the Years’ Goes ‘Right Back to the Democratic Party’

by Robert Kraychik June 19, 2019

“Every bad thing that’s happened to my race over the years, you can go right back to the Democratic Party,” said Burgess Owens, retired NFL safety and Super Bowl champion, in a Wednesday interview on SiriusXM’s Breitbart News Tonight with hosts Rebecca Mansour and Joel Pollak.

Earlier on Wednesday, Owens testified at a hearing on slavery reparations before a House Judiciary subcommittee. He proposed that the Democrat Party pay for “all the misery” brought upon blacks across America’s history.

“So I’m blessed that it’s not a hypothetical to me,” continued Owens. “I know how it felt. I looked around and saw the examples of great men and women. To be where we are today is an insult to them. My dad, my granddad, my great-grandfather worked too hard for their history to be forgotten. That’s actually what it takes for this socialist-Marxist shadow, and that’s all reparations is. It’s another socialist way of getting people dependent, angry, and divided. But for that to work, they have to first demean and delete our great history, and we can’t let that happen, because what we’ve done together has made our country the greatest in the history of mankind.” Audio, video and the rest of this article HERE.

A Good Start – Oberlin College Pays for Smearing the Town Grocer

A Good Start by James Howard Kunstler

Reprinted with permission from Kunstler.com.

Campus Wokesters with boundary problems got “woke” for real on Thursday when an Ohio jury laid an additional $33-million for punitive damages on top of $11-million in compensatory damages already awarded against Oberlin College for running a “social justice” campaign to ruin the business of a four-generation small-town bakery that followed the shoplifting arrest of three black Oberlin College students there in 2016.

The precipitating incident happened the day after the presidential election when the Oberlin College campus suffered a collective emotional breakdown over the election results. Gibson’s Bakery and Food Mart, on the Oberlin town square, also sells wine and deli products and has been a fixture in downtown Oberlin for generations. The three students first tried to buy wine with fake ID and, failing to do that, attempted to walk out with two bottles. They were followed outside by one of the Bakery family members, Allyn Gibson. A fight ensued. Police arrested the kids. The college’s attempt to steer the case out of the court system failed. The three students eventually pleaded guilty in August 2017 to theft and aggravated trespassing, and were required by their plea agreements to declare that they had behaved wrongfully and that the bakery was not a racist establishment.

Dean Meredith Raimondo got her 15 minutes of fame

In the event, Oberlin College Dean of students, Meredith Raimondo, had organized students, faculty, and staff to mount days of demonstrations outside Gibson’s Bakery, accusing it of racism and systematic profiling of black students. At times, Ms. Raimondo appeared to lead the demonstration with a bullhorn, and handed out leaflets labeling Gibson’s as “racist.” The college also dropped its business arrangement with Gibson’s, which had supplied the college with donuts and bagels for decades. Gibson’s then sued both Oberlin College, and Ms. Raimondo in particular, for libel and for attempting to ruin its business.

The Oberlin case is of a piece with the widespread dishonest, despotic, and sadistic behavior syndrome that has roiled college campuses all over the country, and infected every corner of national life, including the giant social media companies, the corporate HR departments, the entire Democratic Party, virtually all show business, and the US Military. Wokesterism employs the same tactics used by Mao Zedong’s Red Guard during China’s “cultural revolution” of the 1960s — an epic fiasco of mass coercion in which millions of innocent people were imprisoned, tortured, and executed to consolidate the ageing and ailing Mao’s power and purge all dissenters. Even the Chinese communist party got sick of it and quashed the hysteria after Mao’s death.

Oberlin’s lame defense in the penalty phase of the court case was to plead poverty despite a nearly one-billion-dollar endowment — at a school which charges $70,000-a-year to attend. The punitive damages required the jury to find actual malice in the college’s behavior. In fact, the jury’s award of $33.2-million exceeded a statutory Ohio punitive damages cap of double compensatory damages (the $11-million).

In many cases like Oberlin’s around the nation — such as the mob that attacked author Charles Murray (The Bell Curve) at Middlebury College, the mobs that drove out biology professor Bret Weinstein at Evergreen College, the mob that bullied Nicholas Christakas at Yale, the serial mobs that disrupted many speakers at UC Berkeley — the mysterious common denominator is the acquiescence of college presidents and other campus authorities to the hysteria of the moment. The truth is, they were AWOL at best and often complicit in the action. The uproar at Oberlin may have been “triggered” by the dismaying election results of 2016, but a lot of this quasi-religious hysteria has been going on since long before the much-reviled Mr. Trump came on the scene. Campus deans and presidents have a lot to answer for. Until now, they have all skated neatly from scrutiny, with the help of an amazingly incurious news media. The hefty dollar judgment against Oberlin may be a caution to other college admins across the land that there actually are consequences for their cowardly and dishonorable behavior.

Note: The New York Times did not even report the final disposition of the Oberlin libel suit the day after the jury’s punitive damage award. They don’t want to know about it, and they don’t want you to know about it. The omission tells you everything you need to know about the descent of the old liberalism into a maw of delusion and bad faith and the appalling failures of institutional leadership across the USA.

Billionaire Kochs to Financially Back Democrats Pushing Amnesty, Free Trade

by John Nolte

The pro-mass immigration Koch brothers’ network of billionaire, donor-class organizations is readying to financially back Democrats, so long as they promise to support amnesty for illegal aliens and vote to advance free trade at all costs.

In a memo to its staff, the Koch-funded Americans for Prosperity (AFP) organization announced that the economic libertarian group is set to back any elected official in Washington, DC, — including Democrats — who support their agenda of amnesty for illegal aliens and endless free trade, and oppose the GOP voter-preferred economic nationalist agenda of less immigration and tariffs to protect American jobs.

The memo read:

The threat of being primaried prevents policymakers from leading on difficult issues and driving principled policy reforms. AFP or AFP Action will be ready to engage contested U.S. Senate, U.S. House, and state-level primary races, including Republican, Democrat, Independent or otherwise, to support sitting legislators who lead by uniting with others to pass principled policy and get good things done. [Emphasis added]

The Koch effort to financially support pro-amnesty, anti-economic nationalist Democrats would come to fruition through the creation of multiple issue-specific Political Action Committees (PACs), all under the larger Koch network umbrella. Read the rest HERE.

Joe Biden 1974: ‘Politicians Can Take Away’ First Amendment ‘If We Want’

Is there an old saying that goes something like: “Once a creep, always a creep?” Well if not, there ought to be.

AP Photo

From Breitbart News by Haris Alic

Former Vice President Joe Biden told a journalist in 1974 that “cruddy politicians” like himself could “take away” the First Amendment if they wanted.

The current 2020 Democrat frontrunner made the comments to Washingtonian magazine while being interviewed for a profile published in June 1974. Biden, then only 31-years-old, came to regret the interview, as his penchant for gaffes and insensitive remarks—traits defining later portions of his career—heavily colored the piece. At the time, however, Biden appeared eager to discuss his life as the nation’s youngest senator.

“I am proud to be a politician,” Biden told then-Washingtonian writer Kitty Kelley, who authored the profile. “There is no other walk of life which can do more good for mankind than politics. It influences everything that happens to the American people.”

Biden proceeded, according to Kelley, to lean “over his desk to shake his finger at me” while explaining elected officials like himself had the power to “take away” constitutionally protected rights if they saw fit.

“And, whether you like it or not, young lady,” he said. “Us cruddy politicians can take away that First Amendment of yours if we want to.”

Biden’s remarks to Washingtonian mirror those he made in an address to the City Club of Cleveland, Ohio in May 1973. Although that speech initially drew notice for comments Biden made likely to be offensive to women and his use of racially insensitive language —notably when he lectured about what “was good for the Negro,”– it also provided insight into his views on power and politics.

“We spend a lot of time talking about the United States being a melting pot, well that’s true, but quite frankly I think it’s overrated,” Biden told the City Club. “We’ve been able to move forward because of politics. In my opinion, politics need not necessarily be a dirty word.”

Biden expressed that despite the conventional feeling politics was “dirty,” politicians like him do more good for society than doctors or lawyers or “Indian chiefs.”

“Politics should be the most honorable of professions,” he said. “Those of you who are doctors and lawyers and Indian chiefs in the audience, how can any of you possibly do as much good, if you are very good at what you do, as I can do if I am very good at what I can do?”

‘You can’t,” Biden added. “So the point is, this is where the action is.”

At other points in the speech, Biden declared that politicians were just “as moral,” if not more so, than doctors. He also admitted to taking “great offense” at what he saw as the public’s “perilous” attempt to label anyone in elective office a “thief” or a “crook.” Read the rest HERE.

Report: Alyssa Milano Instrumental in Biden’s Flip-Flop on Hyde Amendment

Twitter: alyssa_milano

Sleepy Joe Biden. He’s such a strong-willed guy.

Could Alyssa be one of Sleepy Joe’s top advisors should he somehow get elected? Would he nominate her for Secretary of State; Secretary of Health & Human Services (HHS); Secretary of Housing & Urban Development (HUD); Secretary of the Interior? How about Secretary of Labor? Definitely not!

by Joshua Caplan

Far-left Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano reportedly helped persuade former vice president and 2020 White House front runner Joe Biden to flip-flop on his past support for the Hyde Amendment.

The Atlantic reported Friday that people inside and out of the Biden campaign challenged the White House hopeful over his views, prompting him to swiftly cave on his stance’s held for decades.

Symone Sanders, one of Biden’s senior advisers, confronted him, she confirmed to me Thursday night, telling Biden that he was missing how his position disproportionately affected poorer women and women of color without easy access to abortion. Alyssa Milano, the actress who’s become a major online presence on issues of women’s rights as well as a friend of the Biden team, spoke by phone Wednesday to Biden campaign manager Greg Schultz, telling him the candidate needed to change. More calls came in, more tough conversations.

Milano ignited social media with a tweet last month calling for women to join her in a sex strike to protest strict abortion bans passed by Republican-controlled legislatures. Read the rest HERE.

On Tuesday, June 6, 1944, over 160,000 brave men crossed the choppy waters of the English Channel to land in enemy-occupied France for the long-awaited Allied liberation of “Fortress Europe.”

Codenamed “Operation Overlord,” the Battle of Normandy was the largest amphibious invasion in human history. The mission: to liberate a continent suffering for four years under the murderous dictatorship of a racist totalitarian regime bent on world domination.

On the eve of the battle, Supreme Allied Commander General Dwight D. Eisenhower told the Allied troops in a broadcast message: “You are about to embark upon the Great Crusade toward which we have striven these many months. The eyes of the world are upon you. The hopes and prayers of liberty-loving people everywhere march with you.”

“The tide has turned,” he told them. “The free men of the world are marching together to victory. Good luck! And let us all beseech the blessing of Almighty God upon this great and noble undertaking.”

An armada of 5,000 ships and 15,000 aircraft supported the battle, as troops stormed five beaches along a 50-mile wide stretch of coast. Airborne divisions dropped behind enemy lines the night before to secure the eastern and western flanks. U.S. Army Rangers boldly scaled the cliffs of Pointe du Hoc under relentless enemy fire to take out the Nazi guns.

By that afternoon, General Eisenhower broadcast a message to the occupied countries telling them that “the liberation of Europe” had begun.

“Although the initial assault may not have been made in your own country,” he told them, “the hour of your liberation is approaching.”

By the time the battle ended, there were over 10,000 Allied casualties.

Within 11 months, Nazi Germany surrendered unconditionally. The men of D-Day had saved the world.

The following photo essay is offered in their honor and in honor of the men and women of our Greatest Generation.
