By Matthew Boyle:

Donald Trump, Jr., and House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy will host a teletownhall Sunday with a million low-propensity GOP voters, imploring them to get out to vote and back Republicans in Tuesday’s midterm elections, Breitbart News has learned exclusively.

““I can’t wait to join with Don Jr. again to rally the grassroots and help secure another House Republican majority,” McCarthy told Breitbart News.

“For months now, both Leader McCarthy and I have been doing everything in our power to help Republicans preserve our majority in the House,” Trump, Jr., President Donald Trump’s eldest son, added in a statement to Breitbart News. “For Republicans to be successful on Tuesday, we need our base to be motivated, and it’s our hope that this grassroots teletownhall is one way for us to make that a reality.” Read the rest of this article at breitbart.com.

Paul Ryan Is the Absolute Worst Choice for Speaker

This article by renowned historian and conservative author, Daniel Horowitz was last updated at October 9th, 2015 at 11:21 AM.

The establishment fears an open process for any election because the competition inherent in such a process brings out the truth and the truth hurts their cause. That is why they are seeking to preempt a protracted race for Speaker by clearing the field with Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)

This process is set to unfold in the Speaker’s election with multiple choices and the opportunity to force each candidate to address issues and processes important to conservatives. That is why the media and the establishment are working overtime to clear the field for Paul Ryan. That is why Mitt Romney, the very armpit of the system conservatives seek to dismantle, is begging him to run.

Paul Ryan represents one of the absolute worst outcomes for conservatives. There is nobody in modern politics whose record and true priorities are more divorced from their rhetoric and public perception. Unlike McCarthy or some of the other choices, Ryan’s ascendancy to the speakership would be hailed as fresh change. In fact, it would serve nothing more than putting the prettiest face on the ugliest policies. Just take a look at his Liberty Score for a rundown of some of the worst policies Ryan has supported.

While conservatives understand they won’t get everything they want in a Speaker, the worst thing is to perpetuate the current failed leadership structure. In 2010, three House members authored a book titled “Young Guns,” promoting a new “nuanced” conservative agenda: Eric Cantor, Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and Paul Ryan. Eric Cantor was defeated, McCarthy was blocked…now they are pulling out all the stops for Ryan. There are many choices from which to choose, but shouldn’t we rule out the TARP coalition? On McCarthy’s Benghazi “gaffe”

By Jazz Shaw  October 1st, 2015

By the time I woke up this morning the headlines in the papers and the subject on the lips of the cable news talking heads had swerved away from Russia’s activities in Syria to a new “crisis” in American politics. Shockingly, and against all expectations, a member of Congress had said something dumb. (Insert #HeadDesk hashtag here.)

In case you somehow missed it, House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy was on Fox News yesterday and was asked to list some of the accomplishments of the Republican majority during this term. The first item on his list was not a terrible choice but his phrasing left something to be desired given the sharp blades of the political meat grinder.

Everybody thought Hillary Clinton was unbeatable, right? But we put together a Benghazi special committee, a select committee. What are her numbers today? Her numbers are dropping. Why? Because she’s untrustable. But no one would have known any of that had happened had we not fought.”

Boehner Embarrassed: His Whip Team Couldn’t Find Votes to Re-Elect Him Speaker Last Week

Note: A special thanks to our representative, Congressman Ted Yoho, who has had the courage to stand against John Boehner since he first took office in January, 2013.

House Speaker Rep. John Boehner (R-OH) had been planning to call up on the House floor last week a measure from Rep. Mark Meadows (R-NC) that would have removed him as Speaker of the House if it succeeded—intending to embarrass Meadows—but abandoned the plan after his entire leadership structure learned that they did not have the votes to re-elect him as Speaker before the August recess.

“[House Majority Leader Kevin] McCarthy was making phone calls—he was whipping it—and so was [House Majority Whip]Rep. Steve Scalise (R-LA),” a senior conservative movement leader who’s had many personal and direct discussions with various House GOP members about this told Breitbart News in an interview last week.

“I know members personally who were called by Steve Scalise. So they had the entire leadership whip team frantically making phone calls to members to whip the vote because they wanted to attempt to embarrass Meadows and call the vote [on Wednesday last week] so it’s not hanging over Boehner’s head.

“What they found out was the exact opposite. They found out bad things would happen, that literally they would be calling the vote without knowing what would happen. Therefore, they did not call the vote and now they have this issue hanging over John Boehner’s head for the next five weeks.” Continue reading at breitbart.com.
