Joe Biden 1974: ‘Politicians Can Take Away’ First Amendment ‘If We Want’

Is there an old saying that goes something like: “Once a creep, always a creep?” Well if not, there ought to be.

Former Vice President Joe Biden told a journalist in 1974 that “cruddy politicians” like himself could “take away” the First Amendment if they wanted.

The current 2020 Democrat frontrunner made the comments to Washingtonian magazine while being interviewed for a profile published in June 1974. Biden, then only 31-years-old, came to regret the interview, as his penchant for gaffes and insensitive remarks—traits defining later portions of his career—heavily colored the piece. At the time, however, Biden appeared eager to discuss his life as the nation’s youngest senator.

“I am proud to be a politician,” Biden told then-Washingtonian writer Kitty Kelley, who authored the profile. “There is no other walk of life which can do more good for mankind than politics. It influences everything that happens to the American people.”

Biden proceeded, according to Kelley, to lean “over his desk to shake his finger at me” while explaining elected officials like himself had the power to “take away” constitutionally protected rights if they saw fit.

“And, whether you like it or not, young lady,” he said. “Us cruddy politicians can take away that First Amendment of yours if we want to.”

Biden’s remarks to Washingtonian mirror those he made in an address to the City Club of Cleveland, Ohio in May 1973. Although that speech initially drew notice for comments Biden made likely to be offensive to women and his use of racially insensitive language —notably when he lectured about what “was good for the Negro,”– it also provided insight into his views on power and politics.

“We spend a lot of time talking about the United States being a melting pot, well that’s true, but quite frankly I think it’s overrated,” Biden told the City Club. “We’ve been able to move forward because of politics. In my opinion, politics need not necessarily be a dirty word.”

Biden expressed that despite the conventional feeling politics was “dirty,” politicians like him do more good for society than doctors or lawyers or “Indian chiefs.”

“Politics should be the most honorable of professions,” he said. “Those of you who are doctors and lawyers and Indian chiefs in the audience, how can any of you possibly do as much good, if you are very good at what you do, as I can do if I am very good at what I can do?”

‘You can’t,” Biden added. “So the point is, this is where the action is.”

At other points in the speech, Biden declared that politicians were just “as moral,” if not more so, than doctors. He also admitted to taking “great offense” at what he saw as the public’s “perilous” attempt to label anyone in elective office a “thief” or a “crook.” Read the rest HERE.

Report: Alyssa Milano Instrumental in Biden’s Flip-Flop on Hyde Amendment

Twitter: alyssa_milano

Sleepy Joe Biden. He’s such a strong-willed guy.

Could Alyssa be one of Sleepy Joe’s top advisors should he somehow get elected? Would he nominate her for Secretary of State; Secretary of Health & Human Services (HHS); Secretary of Housing & Urban Development (HUD); Secretary of the Interior? How about Secretary of Labor? Definitely not!

Far-left Hollywood actress Alyssa Milano reportedly helped persuade former vice president and 2020 White House front runner Joe Biden to flip-flop on his past support for the Hyde Amendment.

The Atlantic reported Friday that people inside and out of the Biden campaign challenged the White House hopeful over his views, prompting him to swiftly cave on his stance’s held for decades.

Symone Sanders, one of Biden’s senior advisers, confronted him, she confirmed to me Thursday night, telling Biden that he was missing how his position disproportionately affected poorer women and women of color without easy access to abortion. Alyssa Milano, the actress who’s become a major online presence on issues of women’s rights as well as a friend of the Biden team, spoke by phone Wednesday to Biden campaign manager Greg Schultz, telling him the candidate needed to change. More calls came in, more tough conversations.

Milano ignited social media with a tweet last month calling for women to join her in a sex strike to protest strict abortion bans passed by Republican-controlled legislatures. Read the rest HERE.

Frail Joe Biden Slurs Through 1st Speech as 2020 Candidate

by John Nolte

A long past his prime Joe Biden gave his first speech Monday as a 2020 presidential candidate and every day of his 76 years showed.

Biden, who turns 77 this year and will turn 78 before the next president is sworn in, stumbled over words in Pittsburgh, lost his train of thought, and slurred phrases to a point where you could not even understand him.

What’s more, despite some impressive plastic surgery on his face, Biden’s hair has passed the gray stage to enter the decrepit stage where it’s so white it looks brittle.

Age is not a factor in presidential politics. Vitality is. Virility is. If you still got it, you could win the presidency in your 80s. The problem for Biden is not the number 76, it is that he is no longer the Joe Biden we remember — who was never all that impressive, who was never a good presidential candidate, but he was not this guy — was not an old man past his prime looking to hold on when he needs to get out of the way. Pollak: I’m a Jew. Stop Calling Me an Antisemite

by Joel B. Pollak ♦ April 25, 2019

I am a Jew — an observant Jew, raised in Skokie, Illinois, a town that resisted neo-Nazi marchers and which, at the time, was home to the largest population of Holocaust survivors in the world outside Israel. Nazis murdered many of my grandfather’s relatives in Poland.

Today, former vice president Joe Biden trivialized the suffering of Jews and exploited the memory of the Holocaust for personal and political gain — and he used a lie to do it.

Biden suggested that President Donald Trump, and the nearly 63 million Americans who voted for him, support the rise of a new wave of antisemitism and white nationalism similar to Nazi Germany in the 1930s.

Biden claimedfalsely — that Trump called neo-Nazis who marched in Charlottesville, Virginia, in August 2017 “very fine people” — when, in fact, Trump said the neo-Nazis “should be condemned totally,” as the transcript proves.

The former vice president was repeating a hoax perpetrated by Democrats and the mainstream media to cast Trump and his supporters as bigots who are, in Biden’s words, a “threat to this nation.”

This is the same Saul Alinsky divide-and-conquer nonsense the left has employed for years. It is a dishonest and shameful attempt to put 63 million people on their heels.

I am outraged.

I am outraged because eight years ago, I joined the most pro-Israel website in the world. Breitbart News was founded by two best friends, and my mentors, Andrew Breitbart and Larry Solov … both Jewish. These men created a site designed to call out the exact hypocrisy exhibited by Biden this morning. And the idea for the site was conceived — guess where? — in Israel. Continue reading HERE.

Ship of Fools

Many folks in media are definitely on the Ship of Fools. This week the Lame Stream Media is proving (yet again) that they are either…

a) totally inept
b) DNC operatives thinly disguised as “journalists”
c) suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome
d) all the above

Our propaganda pundits are working overtime to crank out FAKE NEWS. Thankfully, the New Media calls them out on their lies in near real time.

The Democratic Party is in decline. They have no real leaders on the horizon and those running the show are hopelessly corrupt. The Clintons are criminals. Nancy Pelosi is losing her mind. Joe Biden is a laughable pervert. Podesta practices Satanism. Bernie Sanders isn’t a ‘progressive.’ Stop calling him that. He’s nothing more than a communist who pocketed donations from the common man. Bernie knew he had no chance against the DNC machine. Despite the rigging and abuse he faced, he endorsed his abuser. Perez, the new DNC chairman is a ‘nut job.’ Maxine Waters is a raving lunatic. Read more at grrrgraphics.com.

“Professor” Joe Biden: Former Vice President Takes Ivy League Teaching Gig

Former Vice President Joe Biden will teach diplomacy at University of Pennsylvania. (Associated Press)

Joe Biden has a new title: Ivy League professor.

The former vice president, who has been out of a job exactly 18 days, has landed a new gig at the University of Pennsylvania, where he will teach a new generation the ins and outs of international diplomacy. Biden will lead the Penn Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement, a new center focused principally on diplomacy, foreign policy, and national security. The Center will be located in Washington, but the Scranton-born Biden will also have an office on the Penn campus in Philadelphia.

“Joe Biden is one of the greatest statesmen of our times [sic],” said Penn President Amy Gutmann. “In his distinguished career of service to our nation, he has demonstrated a unique capacity to bring people together across divides and to craft constructive responses to some of the toughest and most important policy challenges of our day.” (Bold type, mine).

You may read the rest of this article here, but first let me show you some examples of statesmanshp from one of the greatest statesmen of our time. Watch the video below:

Published on Sep 10, 2015.  The evolving apology:  In just a few days, Secretary Clinton went from: “What I did was allowed,” to “At the end of the day, I am sorry that this has been confusing to people,” to “That was a mistake. I’m sorry about that. I take responsibility,” to “Yes, I should have used two email addresses, one for personal matters and one for my work at the State Department…Not doing so was a mistake. I’m sorry about it and I take full responsibility.” Watch the brief YouTube above for her real apology in her own words (lol).

Here’s what Cheryl Chumley of  WND.com  has to say on this.
