Nolte: The Unelected Keep Telling Our Elected President to Shut Up

Unless you count the vice president, there is only one person elected by the whole of America. There is only one person chosen by We the People to represent 330 million of us. There is only one person who earned the votes through our constitutional process to speak for all — and that is the president of the United States. And yet, it is the president of the United States who is constantly being told by the unelected to shut up.

Chief Justice John Roberts was appointed to the Supreme Court — appointed. In fact, the entire judiciary is either clogged by those who have not earned a single vote or by those who won no more than the votes of one of the 50 states. And yet, when the man chosen by Americans to represent all of America criticizes the judiciary, the top judge in the country tells him to shut up.

After Trump accurately pointed out that there are indeed “Obama judges,” meaning judges on the Ninth Circuit who serve as left-wing activists as opposed to interpreters of laws written by the people’s elected representatives, Roberts vomited out this chunk of fake news:

We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them.  That independent judiciary is something we should all be thankful for.

What a crock. But because Roberts cannot intellectually defend the Ninth Circuit, what he does instead is attack the very idea of criticizing the judiciary. He puts the judiciary out of bounds for criticism because it is “independent,” and because it is “independent,” we all need to shut up and be “thankful for” it.

Roberts, though, is only the latest among the unelected to join this Fascist Gang of Unelected Shut Uppers.

The establishment media have not earned a single vote. No one has gone out and cast even one vote that would allow CNN, NBC, the New York Times, etc. to speak for any of us, much less all of us. And yet, when the man who actually was chosen by Americans to represent all of America criticizes the media, the unelected media tell him to shut up by attempting to bully him into silence with invented nonsense about how his criticism is “dangerous” and a violation of the Constitution. Conservatives: Kavanaugh Confirmation Is a ‘Major Step’ in Restoring Constitutional Rights

Andrew Harnick/AP

by Katherine Rodriguez:

Conservative groups hailed Justice Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation to the Supreme Court as a “victory” for American liberty and called it a “major step” in restoring constitutional rights in the U.S.

Conservative think tanks, advocacy groups, and legal organizations dedicated to defending religious liberty weighed in on Kavanaugh’s Saturday afternoon confirmation, which was one of the “defining” issues for many voters in the 2016 election.

“This nomination and today’s confirmation were about the Constitution and the foundational freedoms it was designed to protect. Today was a major step in the journey to restore the Constitution to its rightful and intended role in our Republic,” Family Research Council President Tony Perkins announced Saturday.

“Today is a victory for liberty in America. I am overjoyed that the Senate confirmed Brett Kavanaugh, a good man and good jurist. Justice Kavanaugh will serve with distinction as an Associate Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States for years to come,” Heritage Foundation President Kay Cole James said in a Saturday statement.

Anti-Gun March For Our Lives: Kavanaugh is ‘The Roadblock to Anything We Want Happening’*

*It would be nice if the school systems would teach these rabble-rousers grammar instead of Communism. Rabble-rouser: One that stirs up the masses of the people as to hatred or violence, demagogue.

by Eric Scheiner

Sometimes who opposes you can say even more about you, than those who express support for you.

In the case of Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, his latest opposition comes from March For Our Lives, the organization started after a school shooting in Parkland, Florida and focused on creating more gun regulations.

“Kavanaugh’s basically the roadblock to anything we want happening,” Charlie Mirsky, the political director of March For Our Lives told NPR.

“We believe that if we got anything passed, he could declare it unconstitutional,” he said. “He could just block anything we want from staying in place.” Read the rest of this article at mrctv.org.

America is Calling

Why We Are a Republic, Not a Democracy

“A democracy is two wolves and a small lamb voting on what to have for dinner. Freedom under a Constitutional Republic is a well armed lamb contesting the vote.” – Benjamin Franklin

Hillary Clinton blamed the Electoral College for her stunning defeat in the 2016 presidential election in her latest memoirs, “What Happened.”

Some have claimed that the Electoral College is one of the most dangerous institutions in American politics.

Why? They say the Electoral College system, as opposed to a simple majority vote, distorts the one-person, one-vote principle of democracy because electoral votes are not distributed according to population.

To back up their claim, they point out that the Electoral College gives, for example, Wyoming citizens disproportionate weight in a presidential election.

Put another way, Wyoming, a state with a population of about 600,000, has one member in the House of Representatives and two members in the U.S. Senate, which gives the citizens of Wyoming three electoral votes, or one electoral vote per 200,000 people.

California, our most populous state, has more than 39 million people and 55 electoral votes, or approximately one vote per 715,000 people.

Comparatively, individuals in Wyoming have nearly four times the power in the Electoral College as Californians.

Many people whine that using the Electoral College instead of the popular vote and majority rule is undemocratic. I’d say that they are absolutely right. Not deciding who will be the president by majority rule is not democracy.

>>> Liberals Claim Electoral College Is Biased. Here Are the Facts.

But the Founding Fathers went to great lengths to ensure that we were a republic and not a democracy. In fact, the word democracy does not appear in the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, or any other of our founding documents. Continue reading at dailysignal.com.

Ted Yoho Joins the Push to Censure Obama Over Executive Actions on Gun Control

Way to Go, Ted!

tedyohobarackobama-sunshinestatenews From Sunshine State News * By Kevin Derby * January 8, 2016 – 9:45am

A Florida congressman is going to bat for a measure censuring President Barack Obama on his executive action on gun control and other matters.

Noting censure resolutions had been brought out against Presidents Andrew Jackson, Richard Nixon and Bill Clinton, U.S. Rep. Steven Palazzo, R-Miss., introduced the resolution this week.

“For seven years, the president has gradually expanded his powers through executive overreach,” Palazzo said. “His actions this week to take away the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding citizens is just the latest, if not most egregious, violation of the separation of powers found in the United States Constitution. Congress must go on record to stand up as an equal branch of government – both against this president and any future president who attempts to use his authority to write the law instead of enforce the law.

“The American people demand that we fight back against this president’s overreach, and this is the best way we can fight and win,’ Palazzo added.

U.S. Rep. Ted Yoho, R-Fla., announced on Thursday he was backing the censure effort. (Bold type, mine – ADB)

“The recent executive overreach by President Obama – against the Second Amendment – is in direct violation of his sworn oath of office,’ Yoho said. “Seven years ago he placed his hand on the Bible and said, ‘I do solemnly swear that I will faithfully execute the office of president of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.’‘ On numerous occasions, he has failed to live up to this oath.  Continue reading at sunshinestatenews.com.
