President Trump “The Dictator” is Having a 4th of July Parade

The wild and crazy left-of-left crazies from the so-called news media, Hollywood, and even our own government, who are trying to take over our beloved country and tear it down from its roots are now doubling down on their hatred of our president.

Politicians, pundits, and performers are pouncing on President Trump and calling him dictator. It’s not like they’ve never done so before. But I’ve never seen it with so much volume and hate. All, they say, because we will be showcasing our beloved military, and our might in a parade in Washington, DC. When? On the 4th of July, Independence Day. How dictatorial is that? I thought it was patriotic. Oh well, he’s not the first. And I believe Betsy Ross might be weeping right now.

.

Was President Eisenhower a dictator?

How about President John F. Kennedy? Was he a dictator?

How about the Persian Gulf War Veterans?

Happy 242nd Birthday America

“…In every stage of these Oppressions We have Petitioned for Redress in the most humble terms: Our repeated Petitions have been answered only by repeated injury…”*

“…And for the support of this Declaration, with a firm reliance on the protection of Divine Providence, we mutually pledge to each other our Lives, our Fortunes, and our sacred Honor.”*

So once again, happy birthday America!

A Perfect Video for Independence Day

Radio host Mark Levin, author of “Rediscovering Americanism,” criticized the progressive movement for “rejecting” the principles laid out in the Declaration of Independence. Ahead of Independence Day, the New York Times ran a full-page feature on the Constitution. Levin said the feature was just another example of the progressive left misunderstanding American history and the principles of this country. He noted Constitution Day is September 17, and that July 4 instead honors the Declaration of Independence. “The entire progressive movement rejects the Declaration of Independence,” Levin, a former DOJ chief of staff, said. “That’s why you’ll never see a full page of the Declaration of Independence in the New York Times,” he said.

He said that progressives believe that rights come from the government, while the Declaration describes how they are inalienable grants to humanity from God. Levin said those who fought and died in the Revolution would be “appalled” by progressives like Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), who believe in a central government redistributing wealth. “[They] can’t have health care unless the government controls it and redistributes it,” he said. Levin also discussed the media’s fixation with President Trump’s feud with Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, remarking that “sonograms” have better ratings than MSNBC. Hat tip: Tea Partiest.

Independence Day, Rest in Peace

Why do we continue to celebrate Independence Day each July Fourth when we no longer cherish independence?

Someday soon, our progressive politicians will propose celebrating the first Monday in July as Global Interdependence Day, and no one will protest as long as it includes barbecues and fireworks.

It’s sobering to ask, who is really celebrating independence?

Our schools no longer teach our children the meaning of the Declaration of Independence.

Our elected officials no longer protect our sovereignty.

Our courts do not recognize or  even comprehend God-given “unalienable rights” for which the patriots of 1776 pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor.

Our professors, priests and “futurists” are so enamored of “global citizenship” they see individual rights as an anachronism.

Multiculturalism is not an idea to be debated, it’s the new orthodoxy to be obeyed. Or else!

And so, is it any wonder that independence has a low standing in our hierarchy of “values”?

Until very recently, our new immigrants were the ones who reminded us of our special place in world history. We are the first nation, in Thomas Jefferson’s words,  to come into being by the force of reason and not an accident of geography. The fundamental radicalism of the American founding was the idea that individual freedom is among our God-given rights, and government exists to secure those natural rights, not to trample them.
