McConnell Refuses to Say Trump is Qualified to be President

Asked several times Sunday whether Donald Trump is qualified to be president of the United States, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell declined to respond affirmatively.

“I’ll leave that to the American people to decide,” the Kentucky Republican said of his party’s presidential candidate’s qualifications.

McConnell was interviewed on ABC’s “This Week” directly after the show revealed the results of a poll that showed that fully 64 percent of respondents thought that Trump was not qualified to be president.

In response, McConnell simply commented that Republican primary voters have made their choice, and that “the American people will be able to make that decision in the fall.” Continue reading at washingtonexaminer.com.

    For me, Mitch MCConnell was ground zero for the revolt against the establishment. When he celebrated the 2012 Republican victory by appearing before the cameras and promising to fight Obamacare and amnesty yet turned right around and completely funded them, I was done. No one in the Republican Party angers me more. That image is frozen in time.

    I can’t agree with you enough, Marka! McConnell might thing Trump isn’t qualified to be president, but it’s definite that McConnell is not qualified to be a Republican OR any kind of representative of the people.
