Parts across the Northeast United States are bracing for record cold temperatures on Thanksgiving Day, meteorologists say.

Western Massachusetts to Albany, New York, is expected to receive bouts of snow ranging from 2 to 4 inches, while other cities may see nearly 6 inches. Parts of southern Vermont and Maine are also likely to see snowfall, while Buffalo to Waters could see snow showers. “Thanksgiving Day is going to be frigid, with wind chills in the Northeast below zero and in the teens from Washington, D.C., to Pittsburgh to Philadelphia. Record lows are expected throughout the region, with daytime temperatures forecast to be 20 to 35 degrees below normal. Temps should return to normal by the weekend,” ABC News reports.

From Wednesday night to Friday, badly needed rain showers will are expected to fall in parts of Northern California, prompting a flood watch warning. Officials are hopeful the rain will help contain the Camp Fire, which thus far has killed at least 81 people. Some worry excess rain may cause deadly mudslides. Los Angeles to Seattle is expected to see rainfall throughout Wednesday, while Sierra Nevadas could receive 6 to 15 inches of snow in the evening, making commuting through the area difficult for many. Globalist Davos Summit Buried in Snow as Elites Gather to Discuss Global Warming

The annual meeting of globalist elites at the Swiss ski resort Davos got off to an unintentionally ironic start this week as delegates including 60 heads of state and hundreds of top business leaders found themselves severely delayed by snow storms.

Not even the favoured elite means of transport to avoid traffic problems that beset ordinary people was available as the World Economic Forum summit opened, as the severe snow storm closed even the town’s helicopter pads.

The New York Times reports speakers were late to their own sessions and press conferences in Davos Monday as the roads had become impassable and clogged with traffic — even including the “luxury” black minivans brought to the town to ferry top Davos guests quickly and anonymously.

Ruining Football: New England Democrats’ Votes for Schumer Shutdown Cancel Military Jet Flyover at Patriots-Jaguars AFC Championship Game

Note: I disagree with the first two words of the above headline, “RUINING FOOTBALL.” In my view,  football, at least the NFL version, has already been ruined by the protests of our National Anthem, etc., carried out by childish millionaire players and supported by league officials  – ADB.

The U.S. military will not conduct a jet flyover above the AFC Championship Game between the New England Patriots and Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday because Democrats voted to shut down the government, the Boston Globe reports.

“A striking casualty of the budget impasse will be the empty skies in Foxborough as the New England Patriots take the field for their game Sunday afternoon: Four fighter jets that had been expected to fly over the stadium just before the game were grounded by the shutdown, said Lieutenant Colonel Lisa Ahaesy, spokeswoman for the Massachusetts National Guard,” the Boston Globe reported on Sunday.

The reason why they will not fly over the stadium, as is tradition, is of course because Senate Democrats refused to vote for a bipartisan funding bill that contains nothing they oppose. This particular consequence—the canceling of F-15 fighter jet flyover—is directly because of a half dozen or more Democrats who represent New England areas and Florida, the home state of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

Massachusetts’ two Democrat senators, Sens. Liz Warren (D-MA) and Ed Markey (D-MA), both voted for the government shutdown by voting against the bipartisan House-passed government funding bill late Friday night. So did Rhode Island’s two Democrat Sens. Jack Reed (D-RI) and Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI). As did New Hampshire’s two Democratic Sens. Maggie Hassan (D-NH) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH)—and Connecticut’s two Democratic Sens. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) and Chris Murphy (D-CT). Maine Independent Sen. Angus King, a leftist who caucuses with Democrats, voted for the shutdown against the funding bill on Friday as well. Vermont Independent Sen. Bernie Sanders, a leftist who also caucuses with Democrats, also voted against keeping the government open as did his fellow Vermonter Sen. Pat Leahy (D-VT). If each of those New England senators voted with their Republican and Democrat colleagues for the government funding bill, the government would be open right now as the bill needed 60 votes to pass per current U.S. Senate rules. RIP: Weather Channel Founder John Coleman Dies – Called Global Warming a ‘Hoax’

Coleman: ‘When the temperature data could no longer be bent to support global warming, they switched to climate change and now blame every weather and climate event on CO2 despite the hard, cold fact that the “radiative forcing” theory they built their claims on has totally failed to verify.’

‘The current bad science is all based on a theory that the increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere from the exhaust of the burning of fossil fuels leads to a dramatic increase in “the greenhouse effect” causing temperatures to skyrocket uncontrollably. This theory has failed to verify and is obviously dead wrong. But the politically funded and agenda driven scientists who have built their careers on this theory and live well on the 2.6 billion dollars of year of Federal grants for global warming/climate change research cling to this theory and bend the data spread to support the glorified claims in their reports and papers.’ climatedepot.com

U.N. Chief Issues ‘Red Alert’

Christmas Is Here, Everyone! EPA Officials Are ‘Leaving in Droves’

Environmental Protection Agency officials are “leaving in droves”, reports the New York Times.

by James Delingpole

More than 700 people have left the Environmental Protection Agency since President Trump took office [bold type, mine],a wave of departures that puts the administration nearly a quarter of the way toward its goal of shrinking the agency to levels last seen during the Reagan administration.

What marvellous news to ease us all into the festive Christmas spirit, eh readers?

Why, it’s like the final scene in A Christmas Carol where Scrooge repents of all his miserliness, his nephew Fred gets a big fat turkey, Bob Cratchit gets a pay rise and Tiny Tim declares “God bless us, every one!”

Not, of course, that this is quite the way the New York Times sees it. It wants us to believe that this is an attack on both science and the environment.

Within the agency, science in particular is taking a hard hit. More than 27 percent of those who left this year were scientists, including 34 biologists and microbiologists; 19 chemists; 81 environmental engineers and environmental scientists; and more than a dozen toxicologists, life scientists and geologists. Employees say the exodus has left the agency depleted of decades of knowledge about protecting the nation’s air and water. Many also said they saw the departures as part of a more worrisome trend of muting government scientists, cutting research budgets and making it more difficult for academic scientists to serve on advisory boards.

Actually, though, what it really is is #winning.

EPA administrator Scott Pruitt is achieving what President Trump appointed him to do. He is draining the swamp. Continue reading at breitbart.com.
